As you may have guessed, I’ve been making more game assets. They’re all LOD A placeholders, but they’re getting done.
Here are a couple of flying saucers and one sawblade. The orange saucer is only about a quarter the diameter of the metal one, and the sawblade is about the same diameter as the orange one. The big orange sphere with the little “feet” is a very early rough draft barely worthy of LOD A. It’s intended to be a level boss or something similar, and it has a lot more to attach to it before I’ll really consider it anything but an ultra bare bones placeholder. It includes the ships from my last post about game assets for scale. If I do end up making it a level boss (or maybe just a major part of a level like the battleship in Soviet Strike) it’ll probably end up getting a lot bigger.

I also made a couple of houses. They’re nothing fancy, just a cabin-style house with a covered porch and a rambler-style house with a covered porch. I may or may not add windows and/or make the doors work so the player can go inside. Right now they’re just there to have houses for testing purposes.

And then I put together a couple of weapons. One is a basic low-end laser pistol to be the FPS player’s starting gun. The other is a quad AA mount based loosely on the old Soviet ZSU-23/4. I did a model and particle system for it. I may end up tweaking the model and particle system to make it a laser or other directed energy weapon down the road.
