I Get Bored

I get bored. I’m talking Sherlock Holmes level boredom.

So I have hobbies. Too many hobbies it seems like sometimes. Gaming of several varieties, movies, books, robots, web and software design, hiking, camping, and a dozen other things.

Because something has to fill the time.

The simple fact of the matter is I’m a paleo-gamer and science fiction enthusiast who likes to code. I’ve been playing and creating content for tabletop RPGs and wargames since the early ’80s, back when 1st Edition AD&D was the New and Exciting Thing. While my game of choice isn’t the biggest or most popular, it’s one oif the most flexible. I’ve made a lot of material for it and some others since I was a kid. I’ll be posting it over in the Devil Monkey Games section as I convert it to html. A lot of it was made for a specific scenario and never used again. Of course, someone might find some use for it.

I’m also an electromechanical and HVAC technician. I build industrial automation systems to keep the lights on and it’s interesting work, but I can mostly do it in my sleep. It also means I can fix a lot of stuff, including wiring and AC. Cars, not so much, but just about anything else I’m pretty solid with.

And just to state the obvious, this website is a perpetual work in progress to serve as my portfolio. Don’t let the minimalist nature of it fool you; I just have no idea what people want to see displayed, and so much seems like just showing off.
