Create28 2022: Intro

I did this last year, and it was both fun and productive. So I’m going to do it again.

This year I’m going to work on a combination of 3D models and their support code to make them useful as assets.

What does that mean? It means I’ll be posting the models and where necessary adding some notes for what support code I determined was necessary. When I write the code, I’ll mention that as well. Because of this, most posts will have a format along the lines of the name of the asset, a quick description, picture(s), and a list of code I decided it needs and maybe even code I wrote.

The odds on code for an item being written the same day as the model are pretty much zero. I typically spend hours at a time coding off a list of projects, and some days I just screw around making models in Blender. They’re completely different mindsets, so I rarely do both on the same day.

I can also do a lot of pseudocode at work, so at any given time I may have a dozen blocks of code pseudocoded in a notebook ready to go. Then I sit down and crank it out in a single large session.
