Chaplain Rogers

Gothar of the Old Norse gods, with a focus on Thor – who he is believed to have met in person at least once. 

The Chaplain largely serves as a battlefield negotiator.  His silver tongue has solved problems a truckload of weapons couldn’t on several occasions.  He’s a pacifist but will use violence in self defense or defense of those he has placed under his protection.  Chaplain Rogers carries his ceremonial hammer and a company-issue pistol at the insistence of Colonel Kjell. 

His fire team, of course, places no such restriction on their behavior.  They try to avoid unnecessary violence out of respect for him, but are still a pack of heavily-armed, violent sociopaths.  The Colonel has also given them direct orders to act as his bodyguards.  Her exact words were “do not piss Thor off by getting his buddy killed.”  While the Colonel isn’t sold on the idea that Thor exists, much less Chaplain Rogers being on speaking terms with him, she isn’t taking any chances. 

Chaplain Rogers is usually assigned one of the company’s utility vehicles, typically a G-U Horizon.
